Ripple helps communities of all sizes across our region set up cost-effective glass recycling programs for their residents. All the glass materials collected are then hauled to our plant in Kansas City to be processed and ready for a second life.
How Regional Communities Partner with Ripple
Many rural and medium-sized communities want to recycle glass, but lack local processing facilities to clean, color-sort, and mill cullet.
Ripple Glass solves this geographic hurdle through our Hub-and-Spoke Regional Model. Towns establish a central collection site or transfer station bunker where residents drop off glass. Once a full trailer load (approx. 20–25 tons) is accumulated, bulk transport brings it directly to our high-speed Kansas City facility.
This keeps thousands of tons of glass out of municipal landfills and connects rural recycling programs directly to national industrial markets like Owens Corning.
