What Can I Recycle?
If you can see through it, chances are we can recycle it! All colors of food and beverage glass can go into the purple bin together.
Ripple is equipped to process almost all kinds of household glass, from beverage bottles and food jars to window panes, drinking containers, spent candles, cosmetics, and more!
Labels Stay On
No soaking or peeling needed. Labels incinerate cleanly during remelting.
Lids & Caps OK
Metal lids and corks are separated mechanically and magnetically at our plant.
Mix All Colors
Clear, amber, green, and blue can all be mixed together in the purple bin.
No Rinsing Needed
Empty contents loose into bin. Residual drops or food residue are completely okay!

YES - Accepted in the Purple Bin
All food, beverage & approved household glass-
Wine, Beer & Spirits Bottles: All shapes, sizes, and colors (clear, amber/brown, green, blue). Labels can stay on.

Food & Sauce Jars: Jam, jelly, pasta sauce, salsa, salad dressing, baby food, condiment, and pickle jars.

Beverage & Soda Bottles: Sparkling water, kombucha, craft soda, iced tea, and cold brew coffee bottles.

Cosmetic Bottles & Jars: Perfume bottles, skincare jars, foundation bottles, and serum containers (pumps and caps ok).

Candle Jars: Spent candle jars (leftover wax melts away during industrial high-temperature processing).

Drinking Vessels: Clean glass tumblers, pint glasses, wine stemware, and canning/mason jars (lead crystal excluded).

Windows, Shower Doors & Tabletops: Architectural plate glass accepted when wood/aluminum frames and hardware are completely removed, and glass fits safely through bin openings.
NO - Not Accepted
These items contaminate furnaces, damage kilns, or ruin recycled cullet-
Ceramics, Stoneware & Porcelain: Coffee mugs, plates, bowls, terracotta flower pots, and toilet porcelain (will not melt uniformly).

Pyrex, Bakeware & Corningware: Borosilicate cookware and measuring cups (formulated to withstand extreme heat; will not melt at standard furnace temps).

Milk Glass: Opaque white or colored decorative glass (contains bone ash or fluoride additives that create major structural defects in new glass).

China, Leaded Glass & Crystal: Fine crystal and vintage glassware contain heavy lead oxide, which contaminates food-grade glass batches.

Laminated Windshields: Automotive windshields with polyvinyl butyral (PVB) plastic safety interlayer films.

Mirrors: Chemical reflective silver and backing coatings ruin furnace refractory linings.

Dishware (i.e. Corelle): Tempered glass-ceramic dishware (cannot blend with container cullet).

Light Bulbs: Incandescent, CFL, fluorescent tubes, or LEDs (contain hazardous mercury or circuitry).

TVs, Computer Monitors & Screens: Electronic displays and cathode-ray tubes.

Cardboard Boxes, Plastic Bags & Trash: Please empty containers loose into the bin and take your boxes and bags back home to recycle curbside!
